Call for Nominations -- 2026 Israeli AI Safety Research Prize

Deadline: December 30th, 2026

​ The Association for Long Term Existence & Resilience (ALTER), together with the Israeli Association for Artificial Intelligence (IAAI), established the Israeli AI Safety Research Prize in 2025 to promote research on AI safety.

To be considered, you must submit the following items (as a PDF file):

• Nomination cover page that includes: the name, affiliation, and contact details of the nominator, and name(s), affiliation(s) of the author(s) of the research, and contact information for at least the first author.
• Brief nomination letter explaining the importance and relevance of the work to safety of future AI systems.
• Other information that the nominator considers relevant.
• A copy or a persistent link to the complete research paper.

The selection will be based on the work’s originality, impact, importance for safety, and written quality. Work that has been submitted to and/or accepted at workshops, conferences, or journals will be considered more favorably. Finally, the committee will consider the quality of the written document. The jury’s decision is final.
